FFRC Participates in the 31st Annual Council Meeting of the Network of Aquaculture Centers in Asia-Pacific (NACA)

From November 29 to 30, the 31st Annual Council Meeting of the Network of Aquaculture Centers in Asia-Pacific (NACA) was held via video conference. Xu Pao, Director of FFRC, attended the annual meeting as a representative of the NACA China Regional Guidance Center and made a work report.

After the opening ceremony, Dr. Huang Jie, Director-General of NACA, made a report on the main contents of NACA's annual work, and Matthias Halwart, a senior aquaculture officer of FAO, introduced the relevant work carried out by the aquaculture department of FAO. Member states and relevant international organizations discussed and exchanged views on how to better integrate into NACA's future development strategy and jointly promote the sustainable development of aquaculture in the Asia-Pacific region. The annual meeting elected a new chairmanship and vice-chairmanship of the Management Council.

More than 50 people attended the meeting, including representatives of 15 NACA member countries, representatives of other 4 regional guidance centers, representatives of cooperative international organizations and funding agencies, and representatives of the host countries (regions) of this annual meeting. Zhu Jian, Member of the Party Committee and Chief of the Division of Research of FFRC, Ren Mingchun, Deputy Chief of the Division of Research, and all members of the Dept. of International Cooperation and Education attended the meeting.
