On the morning of January 13, the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System organized the first executive expert group meeting in 2022 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province by the combination of “online + offline”. The meeting was presided by the chief scientist of the system, Ge Xianping, and all members of the executive expert group attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Chief Scientist Ge Xianping discussed the development direction and tasks of the system for the “14th Five-Year Plan”. The meeting proposed that post scientists should work together to carry out technology research and development and innovation from the aspects of variety breeding and cultivation, healthy aquaculture mode, engineering facilities, digital intelligent equipment, quality and quality safety of aquatic product, etc.. The integrated experimental stations should combine regional characteristics and highlight the experimental demonstration of technical achievements strengthen the construction of core demonstration sites, and enhance the demonstrations and radiation effects.

It is reported that this is the first meeting of the newly established executive expert group for the “14th Five-Year Plan” of the conventional freshwater fish industry technology system. The new expert group consists of 13 people, including the chief scientist, 6 functional research laboratory directors, 4 representatives of post-scientist and 2 representatives of the integrated experiment station directors.
