FFRC held the Webinar on Aquaculture Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the “B&R” Countries

Under the guidance and support of the Ministry of Commerce and Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Webinar on Aquaculture Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the “B&R” Countries was held in FFRC on August 31.

Xu Gangchun, Deputy Director of FFRC, said that FFRC has trained nearly 7,000 fishery officials and technicians in 133 countries, and has assisted in the construction of several aquaculture technology demonstration bases overseas. Up to now, on the international cooperation platform established by FFRC, many Chinese aquaculture enterprises have conducted effective and in-depth cooperation with the “B&R” countries.

Zhu Dan, Chief of Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that this Webinar on Aquaculture Economic and Trade Cooperation will make due contributions to the construction of a dual circulation development pattern of domestic and international mutual promotion.

The scope of exchanges at the webinar covers a variety of fields including the promotion of aquaculture models, feed machinery, feed processing, import and export of fresh and processed aquatic products, small-scale fishery machinery, and promotion of fish reproduction technology, aiming to help promote China’s excellent aquatic enterprises in various fields, understand the needs of aquatic economic and trade cooperation in the “B&R” countries.

Nearly 200 representatives from 15 countries including Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Mauritius, the Philippines, Cambodia, Mongolia, Thailand, Oman, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Ukraine, Guyana and other Chinese and foreign agricultural and fishery enterprises were invited to participate in this webinar.
