On September 7, the “Training Course on Tilapia Breeding and High-yield Farming Technology for Developing Countries” sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by FFRC successfully completed.
Xu Gangchun, Deputy Director of FFRC, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech. He said that tilapia is one of the most important aquaculture species in the 21st century. This training course helps to understand the current development and urgent needs of the tilapia industry in the participants’ countries, and lays a solid foundation for multilateral and bilateral tilapia industry development cooperation in the future.
As a representative, the participant from Uganda expressed his sincere gratitude for the strong support of the Chinese government and the Ministry of Commerce and the careful organization of FFRC, and said that the training content was very valuable, China's practical and advanced tilapia production and management experience was very worthy of reference for developing countries.
