The National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System Successfully Held the “7th National Symposium on Nutrition and Feed of Conventional Freshwater Fish”

On April 24, the “7th National Symposium on Nutrition and Feed of Conventional Freshwater Fish” was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan. Nearly 50 people including Academician Mai Kangsen of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of the Ocean University of China, Professor Wu De, President of Sichuan Agricultural University, He Qiang, Director of Sichuan Fishery Bureau, and Researcher Ge Xianping, Chief Scientist of the system, attended the on-site meeting.

At the opening ceremony, President Wu De and Director He Qiang delivered speeches successively and congratulated the successful convening of the meeting under special circumstances. Afterwards, Academician Mai Kangsen and Chief Scientist Ge Xianping gave special reports entitled “Coping Strategies of Feed Enterprises under the Background of Soaring Raw Material Prices” and “Green Nutrition Regulation Technology of Intensive Aquaculture Mode of Conventional Freshwater Fish”.

In the afternoon, Researcher Han Dong from the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Wu Chenglong from Huzhou Normal University, and Associate Professor Jiang Guangzhen from Nanjing Agricultural University respectively presided over the postgraduate forum specially designed for this symposium. 12Ph.D. and Master graduate students from different post team of the system’s feed nutrition research laboratory brought wonderful research progress reports.

It is reported that the “National Symposium on Nutrition and Feed of Conventional Freshwater Fish” has been successfully held for six times in Hefei (2011), Nanjing (2012), Hangzhou (2013), Wuhan (2014), Yangzhou (2016) and Huzhou (2018). It has exerted a great influence in the national feed industry and academia, promoted the docking and exchange of cutting-edge technologies and industrial applications of the conventional freshwater fish industry technology system, and promoted the innovative development of high-efficiency, high-quality and safe production of conventional freshwater fish.
