The expert team held a work exchange meeting in Yangzhong. Bian Wenji, the executive expert team member and researcher of Jiangsu Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute first introduced the basic situation and future development plan of the longsnout catfish industry in Jiangsu Province; Chen Xiaohui, an expert in longsnout catfish germplasm resources and variety improvement and director of the Channel Catfish Research Center of Jiangsu Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute, reported on the research and development progress of longsnout catfish fine seed selective breeding, sead breeding, disease prevention and control, processing and transportation, etc. Wang Minghua, director of Nanjing Integrated Test Station, introduced the aquaculture plan and brand building of longsnout catfish in China; Zhang Guijun, representative of leading enterprises and general manager of Yancheng Zhengrun Aquatic Ecological Aquaculture Co., Ltd., shared the breeding and farming of large-scale fingerlings of the new longsnout catfish species “Jiangfeng No. 1”; The participating experts also put forward guidance and suggestions on the development status of the longsnout catfish industry in Jiangsu Province.

After the meeting, the expert team visited the longsnout catfish germplasm resource bases and leading longsnout catfish breeding enterprises in Yangzhong, Yancheng and other places, and gave on-site guidance on the water quality regulation and disease prevention and control of longsnout catfish culture under high summer temperatures.
