Recently, the book “Strategy for Efficient Aquaculture Model of Conventional Freshwater Fish” jointly completed by the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and the Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute of Fujian won the 6th Chinese Fisheries Society Fan Li Science and Technology Award (Popular Science Works).

The book is jointly compiled by more than 40 experts including Ge Xianping, Chief Scientist of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System, and comprehensively and systematically introduces the advanced ecological aquaculture concepts, new species aquaculture technologies of the conventional freshwater fish, as well as the efficient and typical aquaculture models of 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) in China.

It is reported that the book has been reported and recommended by domestic mainstream aquatic media such as “China Fisheries News”, “China Fisheries” and “Scientific Fish Farming” for many times. A total 8,000 copies have been printed, and the promotion and popularization basically covered all freshwater aquaculture provinces in China, and achieved good economic and social benefits.
