On December 22-23, the 2022 Annual Summary and Evaluation Meeting of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Zhang Wen, First-level Consultant of the Department of Science, Technology and Education of MARA, Wang Dan, Chief of the Science and Technology Division of the Bureau of Fisheries of MARA, Han Gang, DDG of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Gui Jianfang, Academician of the Institute of Hydrobiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liu Shaojun, Academician of Hunan Normal University, and Researcher Ge Xianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of FFRC and Chief Scientist of the system, attended the evaluation meeting.
At the evaluation meeting, DDG Han Gang fully affirmed the important role played by the Conventional Freshwater Fish System in stabilizing production and supply in the past year, and put forward three suggestions for the future development of the system.
In his concluding speech, Researcher Ge Xianping expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the scientists and comprehensive experimental stations and teams for overcoming the impact of the COVID-19 and completing the annual work of the system. Subsequently, Researcher Ge Xianping announced the list of the new executive expert group of the system, and emphasized the important contents in the “Special Management Measures for the Construction of Modern Agricultural Industrial Technology System”.
At the meeting, Chief Wang Dan presided over the work evaluation of Chief Scientist and Researcher Ge Xianping, of the system. Researcher Ge Xianping presided over the work summary and evaluation of the chiefs of each functional research office, post scientists and comprehensive experimental stations.
The meeting was held in a combination of offline + online, and nearly 200 people attended the summary and evaluation meeting, including all the scientists of the system, chiefs of the comprehensive experimental station, and the chief experts of local innovation teams in 11 provinces and cities in Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Anhui, Henan, Zhejiang, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin and Jilin.
After the meeting, the system organized and convened the 7th Executive Expert Group Meeting, to review the evaluation results of the personnel employed in 2022, reviewed the 2023 management work plan, and discussed the key tasks of the system in 2023.
