On March 22, the Workshop on South-South Cooperation and Global Development Initiative and the 27th Annual Meeting of China South-South Cooperation Network （CSSCN） were successfully held in Wuhan, China. Zhang Yi, Deputy Director of China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchange (CICETE), YAO Shenhong, Director of UNIDO South-South and Triangle Cooperation Office, Wang Xiaojun, Chief of UN Office for South-South Cooperation, Lei Qingping, Deputy Chief of Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee attended the opening ceremony of the annual meeting and delivered the opening speech. Jing Xiaojun, Chief of the Dept. of International Cooperation and Education of Freshwater Fisheries Research Center attended the meeting.

With the theme of “South-South Cooperation and Global Development Initiatives”, the annual meeting organized all members to share the achievements of South-South cooperation, and explored how to participate more extensively and deeply in South-South cooperation and implement the global development initiative with practical actions.

As one of the five representative units of the China South-South Cooperation Network, Chief Jing Xiaojun made a special report on behalf of FFRC, sharing the achievements of FFRC’s South-South cooperation work in recent years, and the experience of the demonstration cases of South-South cooperation projects implemented by the Center, such as “Tilapia Industry Development and Poverty Reduction Project in Tanzania” and “Standardized Rice-Fish Farming Technology Demonstration and Extension Project in Myanmar”.
