On May 7, the “Reading Activities on The Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” successfully started in FFRC. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. BING Xuwen, Deputy Director of FFRC. More than 40 faculty attended the opening ceremony, including members of the leadership and all mid-level cadres of FFRC.

Prof. GE Xianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of FFRC, emphasized at the ceremony that we need to put our efforts into learning Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, we should transform what we have learned to our firm conviction in conducting ourselves with the utmost dignity and probity and promoting fishery modernization in China.

At the meeting, Prof. XU Pao, Director General of FFRC, led all the faculty at present to read Ensuring China’s Food Security in Selected Reading in Xi Jinping’s Works, VOL 1. He said that he developed a good grasp of the duty and mission as an agriculturist after the reading. And he hoped that through the reading activities, all Party members and cadres of FFRC can be inspired to take root in agriculture, dedicate themselves to scientific research, adhere to fishery technology innovation with a more united and tenacious faith.

The 8-day Reading Activities aims to fully implement theoretical study by taking the way of collective learning, individual learning and seminar learning, etc..
