Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) has selected 10 major leading technologies, 143 leading varieties and 176 major technologies for 2023 according to the “Notice on the 2023 Agricultural Leading Varieties and Major Technologies” issued by MARA. FFRC Strain Common Carp II cultivated by FFRC was selected as one of the 11 leading aquatic varieties.

FFRC Strain Common Carp II (Variety Registration Number: GS-01-003-2017) has a slender body and is of high quality. Compared with common cultured carps of the same age, its growth rate is increased by 22.9% and the survival rate is increased by 6.5% on average. In the past three years, with the 1,755,300 mu culture area, FFRC Strain Common Carp II has been listed as the leading variety by Hebei Province, Yunnan Province and the National Fisheries Technology Extension Center.
