On June 12, China Crayfish Industry High-Quality Development Conference was held in Xuyi, Jiangsu. Director General XU Pao of FFRC attended the conference and made a “Report on Xuyi Crayfish Industry Development”.

In the report, Director XU Pao comprehensively sorted out the development situation of the whole Xuyi crayfish industry in 2022, and analyzed the current bottlenecks in the development of the Xuyi crayfish industry. He pointed out that Xuyi should be committed to cultivating the first new veriety of crayfish in the country, formulating a crayfish industry standard system which covers the entire industry chain, increasing investment in the research and development of premade crayfish products, steadily realizing the goal of brand building, large scale and high profit, and further playing the role of Xuyi crayfish in the high-quality development of the integration of different industries.

The theme of this conference is “Using Science and Technology to Empower the Crayfish Industry, Making Innovations to Lead Future Development”. It is reported that a total of more than 300 participants attended this conference, including representatives from fishery authorities, scientific research institutes, fisheries technology extension departments, industry associations and other parties in major crayfish-producing provinces, cities and counties across the country and people engaged in related industries.
