Recently, the Conference on Fishery Resource Enhancement and Ecological Protection of the China Society of Fisheries was held in Alaer, Xinjiang. Yang Jian, Chief Scientist of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Researcher of Freshwater Fisheries Research Center (FFRC), and Chen Xiubao, Associate Researcher of FFRC, attended the conference.
At the conference, Researcher Yang Jian made a keynote report on “Research on Conventional Freshwater Fish Enhancement and Releasing Technology Based on Hard Tissue Microchemistry”, introducing the latest breakthroughs and achievements in exploring non-lethal microchemical labeling for enhancement and releasing and effect evaluation technology with hard tissues such as pectoral fin of fish. Associate Researcher Chen Xiubao made a special report on the “Report on the Tolerance and Purification Potential of Nitrite of Anodonta woodiana”, introducing the latest progress in the research and development of fishery water purification and aquaculture wastewater treatment technology using Anodonta woodiana as a biological water purification medium.
With the theme of “Fishery Resources Enhancement and Ecological Protection”, the conference attracted more than 200 experts, scholars and graduate students from more than 60 universities and research institutes across the country.
Another news, from August 27 to 29, the 2023 Academic Annual Meeting of the Fishery Resources and Environment Branch of the China Society of Fisheries was held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang. Researcher Yang Jian, Associate Researcher Jiang Tao, and three graduate students, Zhu Yahua, Xiao Baiyi and Xu Yixi, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Researcher Yang Jian and other 5 people gave oral reports on related research, and the oral report of doctoral student Zhu Yahua won the Excellent Award of Graduate Report.
With the theme of “Sustainable Utilization of Fishery Resources and Environmental Safety”, the meeting attracted more than 300 people, including Academician Bao Zhenmin and Academician Pan Delu, as well as experts, scholars and graduate students from many scientific research institutes and universities across the country.
