On November 6-10, the 14th Symposium of World’s Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Shellfish was held in Zhanjiang, Guangdong.
At the symposium, Researcher Ge Xianping, Researcher Liu Bo and Researcher Ren Mingchun respectively presided over the theme reports of “Nutritional demand and physiological metabolism”, “Development and application of feed resources”, “Nutrition and environment” and “Research development and application of green additives”, and Associate Researcher Miao Linghong summarized the poster report on the theme of “Research development and application of green additives”.
At this symposium, the Conventional Aquaculture Animal Nutrition and Feed Innovation Team of FFRC completed 10 oral presentations, and 31 research progress was exhibited in the form of posters. During the period, Dr. Lin Yan and doctoral student Liu Mingyang won the Outstanding Youth Report Award, and Lu Siyue won the Outstanding Poster Award.
Hosted by the Academic Committee of the Symposium of World’s Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Shellfish and organized by Guangdong Ocean University, the 14th Symposium of World’s Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Shellfish was attended by more than 1,800 people from all over the world with the theme of “innovation-driven, green-led, and high-quality development”.
At the closing ceremony of the symposium, Academician Mai Kangsen announced that the 15th Symposium of World’s Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Shellfish will be held in Wuxi, Jiangsu, jointly organized by Freshwater Fisheries Research Center, Suzhou University, Nanjing Agricultural University and Yancheng Institute of Technology. Researcher Ge Xianping, on behalf of the co-organizing units, completed the flag handover ceremony of the Symposium of World’s Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Shellfish.
