On November 8-10, the “2023 Yangtze River Delta Fishery Science and Technology Forum and Aquaculture Conference” jointly sponsored by the Fisheries Society of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui was held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu.

At the forum, Director Xu Pao made a keynote report entitled “Several Innovative Thoughts on the High-quality Development of Fishery in the Yangtze River Delta”, focusing on the development of the fishery in the Yangtze River Delta region, the development direction of the freshwater crab industry, the research technology of the freshwater crab seed industry, and the green and efficient culture mode of the freshwater crab.

During the forum, Chief Scientist Yang Hong participated in the roundtable discussion of “High-quality Development of Fishery and Aquaculture Industry in the Yangtze River Delta”, focusing on the work content, achievements and important role played by the national characteristic freshwater fish industry technology system in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

Researcher Chen Jiazhang made a special report on “Key Ecological Technologies for Optimizing and Regulating Pond Aquaculture Environment and Standardized Discharge of Aquaculture Wastewater.”

This forum is a grand event for the fishery industry in the Yangtze River Delta to plan and develop, display achievements, build a platform and expand cooperation, and it is also a grand event to lead the fishery industry to accelerate the innovative and high-quality development.
