Recently, two participants of the “Seminar on sustainable development of aquaculture and climate change for Belt & Road countries” sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center, Mr. RAúL EDGARDO CORTEZ COTA and Mr. DANILO ALEJANDRO VEGA, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture of El Salvador, were honored by Wuxi City for their “justice and courage”. This is the first time for foreigners to receive this recognition. Mr. Shi Lingping, vice president of Liangxi District Justice and Courage Foundation, and Mr. Ge Xiaohui, chief of the Exit-Entry Detachment of Wuxi Municipal Public Security Bureau, presented the certificates of “Justice and Courage” to the two “foreign warriors”.

At the commendation meeting, both of them said that although the temperature was cold at that time, when they saw someone drowning and struggling in the water, they didn't have time to think too much about it, they just wanted to rescue people ashore as soon as possible. During their training and study in Wuxi, they felt the sincerity, enthusiasm and friendliness of the Chinese people, so it is the right thing to do.

It is reported that at 10 p.m. on October 22, Mr. RAúL and Mr. DANILO were participating in cultural experience activities on Nanchang Street in Wuxi when they found two young people falling into the water.
