On November 7, Development Center of Science and Technology organized an expert team to go to the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology R&D Center to investigate, supervise and check the system work from 2021 to 2023. Researcher Zhang Xianliang, former Director of the Bureau of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and President of the China Overseas Fisheries Association, served as the leader of the expert team, Researcher Ma Zhuojun, Chief of the Department of Science of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Researcher Yuan Gulin, Deputy Director of Zhejiang Institute of Freshwater Fisheries, and Associate Researcher Liu Zifei, Scientist of the shellfish system, served as members of the expert team, and Professor Xu Bin of the Development Center of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs participated in the supervision and inspection as a project commissioner.

Researcher Zhang Xianliang briefly introduced the basic situation and work plan of the supervision and inspection of the Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System, and made it clear that the supervision and inspection work mainly includes on-site reporting, material checking, meeting and on-site visiting. According to the requirements, Chief Scientist Zhu Jian made a detailed report on the layout and scientific and technological needs of the Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry, the overall management of key tasks of the system, the content and effectiveness of the system tasks in 2021-2023, the implementation of system funds and operation management, and suggestions on the implementation of tasks.

After listening to the report, the expert team fully affirmed the work of the system over the years, and agreed that the system can grasp the industrial development trends in a timely manner, and carried out fruitful joint cooperation and research of the whole industry chain, solved a number of outstanding problems faced by industrial development, and played an important role in scientific and technological support for ensuring national food security, promoting fishermen’s income, and boosting rural revitalization.

Through the supervision, inspection and on-site investigation of the system, the expert team believes that the Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System is a new efficient and dynamic national fishery science and technology resources organization model integrating scientific and technological innovation research and development, technological achievement demonstration and industrial development support with the whole industry chain as the main line and the comprehensive test station as the base point, which has effectively boosted the high-quality development of the whole industry chain.

During the period, the expert team successively visited the ecological recycling pond culture demonstration zone of Wujin Binhu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park and the Conventional Freshwater Fish Healthy Aquaculture Demonstration Park of Jiangsu Yunian Agriculture and Forestry Ecological Development Co., Ltd.
