The 6th National Shrimp and Crab Industry High-quality Development Conference was Held in Taizhou

On November 14-15, the 6th National Shrimp and Crab Industry Development Conference was held in Taizhou, Jiangsu. The conference was jointly sponsored by the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, the National Shrimp and Crab Industry Technology System, and Jiangsu Haorun Biological Industry Group Co., Ltd., and organized by the Scientific Fish Farming Magazine of the China Society of Fisheries. Gui Jianfang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Bing Xuwen, Deputy Director General of FFRC, Pan Jianlin, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Freshwater Fisheries Research Institute, Liu Xiaohan, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Fishery Technology Extension Center, Miao Yujiang, Deputy Director of Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and other relevant leaders and experts attended the conference.

With the theme of “New Quality Productivity Empowering the New Future of Shrimp and Crab Industry”, the conference specially invited 16 industry experts, including Researcher Xu Pao, Researcher Liu Bo and Researcher Fu Hongtuo of FFRC, to give keynote speeches. At the same time, the conference also held the award ceremony of “Shrimp and Crab Industry Influential Brand Enterprise, New Business Entity, and Leader of Poverty Alleviation”.

The conference conducted an in-depth analysis of the current situation and problems, development countermeasures and trends of the shrimp and crab industry, and attracted more than 800 experts, scientific and technological personnel and aquatic industry practitioners from domestic fishery management related departments, scientific research institutes, universities. The conference built a communication platform, united high-quality enterprises, promoted advanced concepts, models and high-quality products, promoted the development of enterprises, farmers, and the shrimp and crab industry.
