In order to serve ‘The Belt and Road” strategy and promote the fisheries to go out, FFRC undertook the ‘Overseas Training Course on Freshwater Aquaculture Technology and Development for Cambodia’ hosted by the Ministry of Commerce. It was opened on May 31th, 2017 in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It was a 45-day training program. 50 participants attended in the training. The training course adopted modularization teaching. Since the beginning of the course, all teaching plans have been successfully implemented, which got achievements in stages.

As the special representative of Cambodia government, Dr. Hav Viseth, Deputy Director General of Cambodia Fisheries Bureau, participated in the training course entirely. He highly praised the program design, thorough organization and professionalism of the experts group. He said, the modularization teaching model of the training course is conducive to systematically learning advanced and practical aquaculture technologies and experiences from China. The large amount of advanced and practical equipment donated by the Chinese experts group has alleviated the financial budget deficit of Cambodia and improved the level of scientific and technological levels.
