From March 12 to 15, Pro.f Zhu Jian went to Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the ‘ASEAN Regional Forum on Sustainable Fisheries Management and Food Security’. The Chinese delegation consists of nine members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural affairs, and the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences.

As one of a series of activities for ASEAN Regional Forum, the seminar is aimed at strengthening regional dialogue on sustainable fisheries management in the Asia-Pacific region and encouraging substantive cooperation,achieving further promotion for fisheries industry development and management in China,effectively implementing ASEAN Cooperation Initiative. There were more than 80 representatives from 20 countries and international organizations participating in the seminar.
