On May 24^th, 2018, at the invitation of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, 85 participants of two training courses attended the ‘Belt and Road’ Workshop on Modern Green Aquaculture Technology in Ning Xia.With the theme of ‘Openness and Innovation for Shared Development ’, the seminar was co-sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Fisheries Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs,and was jointly organized by FFRC and Bureau of Fisheries, Department of Agriculture and Livestock of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region .The seminar was chaired by Prof. Xu Pao, Director General of the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center.Pro.f Gui Jianfang, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mr.Liu Yingjie, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and other guestes attended the seminar.

At the seminar, Prof. Gui Jianfang gave participants a lecture with the theme of ‘Achievement and Innovation of Chinese Aquaculture Development’. He said that fishery development has entered a new era, and aquaculture should adhere to the ecological priority concept and strengthen the construction of ecological civilization, making positive contributions to global food safety and economic growth continuously. The concept of green, ecological and sustainable innovation fisheries advocated by Pro.f Gui Jianfang has been highly praised by all participants.
