On June 6th, 2018, the opening ceremony of the "2018 Training courses on Tilapia Breeding and High-yield Techniques for Developing Countries" sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce was held in FFRC. Prof.Bing Xuwen, deputy director of FFRC, and Mr.Li Zhi, deputy chief of the Department of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce, attended the opening ceremony.

The training course lasted for 30 days and was attended by 54 participants from 10 countries including South Africa, Ghana, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Laos, North Korea, Uganda, Philippines, Thailand and Cambodia.
