On October 30, the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Cooperation Fund Project- Workshop on Facilitation of Blue Growth in Aquaculture in ASEAN through Sustainable Intensification jointly organized by FFRC and the China Fisheries Society was held in Wuxi, China.Prof.Xu Pao,Director General of FFRC, and Mr.Kong Heng, Deputy Director of the Cambodian National Aquaculture Research and Development Institute, attended the ceremony.

22 experts and officials from 7 countries including Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore participated in the workshop. The important issue such as blue economic growth path, sustainable intensive aquaculture development and management practices, China-ASEAN blue economy development cooperation approach will be discussed during the hosting.
