From March 28 to April 3, the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences organized and carried out the first cruise survey on coilia ectenes recourses in 2020.

Commissioned by the Yangtze River Basin Fisheries Supervision and Administration Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Shanghai Agricultural and Rural Committee Law Enforcement Team, this investigation was to carry out follow-up surveys on important migratory species resources such as Coilia nasus, Coilia mystus, Chinese mitten crab, eel seedlings, master the resources dynamics in the Yangtze River during the fishing ban enforcement, therefore to support the impact assessment of the fishing ban and scientific resource management.
