On July 26, Party Committee, District Government of Maonan District and Maoming Agriculture and Rural Bureau held the 2020 Maonan District Tilapia Industry Conference. Invited by Maonan District Government, Chief Scientist of National Characteristic Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System, researcher Yang Hong from FFRC, CAFS, and post scientists of the system, Lu Maixin, Li Laihao, Yuan Yongming, Chen Jianjia, Zhao Jinliang, Ye Xing and Jiang Lan attended the conference.

At the conference, the chief expert, researcher Yang Hong gave a keynote speech entitled "Tilapia Industry Development and Prospects", and other system experts also gave detailed answers to the questionsraised by the participants, exchanged and shared experiences. After the conference, researcher Yang Hong also accepted an exclusive interview with reporters from Maoming Daily, and talked about his insights on the development direction of Maoming tilapia industry, and proposed how to make the tilapia industry bigger.
