In recent years, with the technical support of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish System, Yuanyang County has successfully established a "rice-fish-duck" integrated cultivation and production model and technology with local characteristics in Hani terraced fields. By actively promoting the “company + cooperative (large households or family farms) + farmers (poor households)”, the county has implemented a comprehensive high-yield and high-efficiency model of rice-fish-duck farming, the demonstrationarea is 60,000 mu with 50,000 mu of the radiation-driven area. There are 27,000 rural households and 5,347 registered households. The output value per mu in the demonstration area reaches 10174.2 yuan, and the output value per mu in the radiation-driven area reaches 8095 yuan. The output value per mu has increased from less than 2,000 yuan for rice cultivation to more than 10,000 yuan. This culture model has effectively promoted the protection of Hani terraces, industrypoverty alleviation, and farmers' prosperity.
