From November 6-7, the 4th China International Modern Fisheries and Fishery Science and Technology Expo was held at the Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hefei, Anhui Province. Xu Pao, director of FFRC, led a team to participate in the expo.
During the expo, a visiting delegation composed of Zhao Xingwu, chairman of the China Fisheries Association, Lu Shiren, director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Anhui, and Deng Wei, deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, came to FFRC’s booth to observe the exhibition. Director Xu Pao introduced the achievements of FFRC in supporting the green development of fisheries and rural revitalization with science and technology. He hoped that with the care and support of the higher-level authorities, FFRC would further utilize its talents and technical advantages to transform scientific research results and enrich the fishermen and fishing villages. The delegation of leaders affirmed the contribution of FFRC in supporting the high-quality development of fisheries with science and technology.
Fishery authority leaders, fish farmers and managers of aquatic companies from all over the country came to the center’s booth for consultation and negotiation, and expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation with FFRC. Duan Jinrong, chief of the Division of technical extension & dissemination, answered all the questions raised by visitors. In addition, FFRC won the "Best Organization Award" at the expo, and the "Key ecological technology and application forstandard discharge of waste water from pond culture" won the "High QualifiedGreen Development Award".
