From November 11 to 12, the 2020 Fanli Academic Conference of the China FisheriesSociety (hereinafter referred to as the "Academic Conference") was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
The "Innovation and application of key techniques for rice-fish ecological farming" presided over by Researcher Xu Pao of FFRC won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award. "Key ecological technologies and applications of freshwater pond culture waste water discharge standards" won the second prize. The "Efficient farming of conventionalfreshwater fishes: 100 questions and answers" compiled by Ge Xianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of FFRC won the Science Popularization Award. In addition, the oral report "The effect of rhubarb extract on the muscle quality of the bream under the runway pond culture model" delivered by the Assistant Rsearcher Lin Yan of the Dept. of Fishery Veterinary, Feed & Nutrition at the 2020 Youth Academic Conference of the ChinaSociety of Fishery won the Excellent Report Award.
A total of 26 achievements won the 5th Fanli Science and Technology Award of the China FisheriesSociety, among which 14 were in the scientific and technological progress category (1 special prize, 3 first prizes, and 10 second prizes), 9 were in the science and technology promotion category (3 first prizes, 6 second prizes), and 3 were in the science and technology popularizationcategory.

This academic conference was attended by nearly 1,000 leaders, experts and scholars from fishery authorities at all levels, scientific research institutes, universities, and enterprises.
