From November 6th to 8th, Professor Erik-Jan Lock, head of the Institute of Marine Research, IMR, Norway, was invited to the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center for a visit.
Dr. Xu Pao, Director General of FFRC,extended a warm welcome to Professor Erik-Jan Lock's , introduced the situation of talent team construction, research progressachieved in the area of aquatic animal nutrition, healthy farming, biological resources and genetic breeding, and expressed hope to deepen bilateral cooperation in fishery development and ecological protection with NorwayInstitute of Marine Research. Professor Erik-Jan Lock said that NorwayInstitute of Marine Research attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with China in fisheries science and technology research and hoped to promote sustainable development of fisheries through the cooperation with FFRC.
During the visit, Professor Erik-Jan Lock conducted in-depth exchange with researchers of Aquatic Diseases and Feed Research Division, and made a report with theme of "Salmon Industry Development in Norway” for young scientific and technical staff of FFRC, and went to FFRC scientific research and experimental base for on- the-spot visit.
