From September 16th to 19th, 23 participants of Seminar on Traditional and Commercial Fisheries Supervision for Oman organized by FFRC visited Hainan Province to have filed investigation of fishery production construction and supervision system in China South China Sea.

The participants visited the Haikou Agricultural and Rural Bureau and conducted in-depth exchanges with the staff of the fisheries supervision team. Mr. FENG Suojun, team commander introduced the main duties of supervision team, including fishery production and safety supervision in Haikou, fishery law enforcement, and the promotion transformation of traditional nets. He also briefed the the current status of fishery industry in Haikou.

In Sanya City, the participants visited one of largest fishing port in China,conducting spot investigation of trading center, ice bank and other supporting facilities in port, and learned about the huge role of ports in optimizing and adjusting the layout of urban functions and improving the urban environment.
