From September 22 to 26, the phase of the “2020 Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Talent Training (Fishery)” was held in Wuxi Fisheries College, Nanjing Agricultural University. 225 agricultural technology extension personnel from 54 counties and cities including Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou, Lianyungang, Huai'an, Yancheng, Zhenjiang, Taizhou and Suqian participated in the training.

At the opening ceremony, Director Xu Pao warmly welcomed all the participants in this training, and expressed the hope that through this training, each participant will not only gain professional knowledge and ability, but also further strengthen the relationship with FFRC, so as to make greater contributions to the development of fishery economy and rural revitalization in Jiangsu.

The 5-day training course covers seven special seminars and exchanges: green fishery construction and rural revitalization, laws and regulations on agricultural technology promotion, new technologies and new models of integrated rice-fish farming, construction and application of pond aquaculture waste water system, water quality regulation and feeding technology management of pond aquaculture, key technologies for ecological aquaculture technology of river crabs, selective breeding and green aquaculture of new varieties of freshwater prawn. Participants were also arranged to go to the modern fishery industrial parks and demonstration base in Xiangcheng District, Kunshan, Changshu, Changzhou and Yixing in Suzhou City.
