On January 9, Dong Jinhe, second-level counsellor of the Bureau of Fishery, MARA, went to Yuanyang County, Yunnan Province to investigate the construction of the core demonstration area of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System and the development of the integrated rice-fish farming industry in Yuanyang. Zhu Jian, Chief of the Division of Research of FFRC and Chief of Division of Aquaculture and Environmental Control of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry System, participated in the investigation.

The inauguration ceremony of Yuanyang Core Demonstration Area of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish Industry Technology System and Yuanyang Experimental Station of the Key Laboratory of Integrated Rice-fish Farming and Ecology, MARA was held during the investigation. Dong Jinhe, second-level counsellor, Wang Dan, Chief of the Division of Science and Technology and Market Processing of the Bureau of Fishery, MARA, Cai Yong, Chief of the Division of Fishery Administration of Yunnan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Mu Mingjun, County Mayor of Yuanyang County inaugurated the core demonstration area and experimental station.

The research team successively visited the core demonstration of the integrated rice-fish-duck farming model in Dayutang Village and Niujiaozhai Village, Xinjie Town, Yuanyang County, discussed and exchanged ideas on industrial development model, aquaculture technology, production efficiency, product processing and sales, and made suggestions for industrial development.
