On December 7, Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Wuhan Jiangxia State-owned Assets Management Group Co., Ltd. Xu Pao, Director General of FFRC, Wu Wentao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jiangxia State-owned Assets Group Corporation, Wu Baohua, Second-level Consultant of Wuhan Jiangxia District Bureau of Water Affairs and Lakes, and Cheng Qingwu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Manager of Wuhan Liangzi Lake Aquatic Group Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony.

Director General Xu Pao said that it is necessary to start from the aspects of policy support, germplasm innovation, industrial support, talent training, and aquaculture methods to create a whole industry chain model and promote the high-quality development of Jiangxia fishery. He also exchanged views with Chairman Wu Wentao on in-depth cooperation in fishery resources conservation, smart fishery, and achievement transformation.

Chairman Wu Wentao said that Jiangxia State-owned Assets Group Co., Ltd. would take this opportunity to actively carry out in-depth cooperation with FFRC in ecological open water fishery of Liangzi Lake, Luhu Lake, digital fishery construction of Luhu base, Liangzi Lake ecological fishery brand building, etc., and continue to promote the high-quality development of Jiangxia ecological fishery.

At the meeting, Director General Xu Pao awarded the “National Digital Fishery Freshwater Aquaculture Professional Innovation Sub-center-Luhu Base” to Jiangxia State-owned Assets Group Co., Ltd., aiming to jointly build a typical demonstration base for digital fishery in Hubei Province and further improve the digital, intelligent and modern development of Jiangxia fishery industry.

After the meeting, Chairman Wu Wentao and other guests also visited the exhibition room of FFRC, the central computer room of the National Digital Fishery Freshwater Aquaculture Professional Innovation Sub-center and the shrimp and crab pond, and visited Dapu Scientific Research and Experimental Station of FFRC, Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Modern Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Noah’s Ark Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.
