Recently, CCTV News Channel and CCTV News Client special program “China Today·Jiangsu” conducted a special report on Zheng Bingqing, a postgraduate of Wuxi Fisheries College of Nanjing Agricultural University, who used what she learned in the college to serve the great protection of the Yangtze River.
Zheng Bingqing is a postgraduate majored in fishery development of Wuxi Fisheries College. She took full advantage of the science and education platform of Nanjing Agricultural University and Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, and the practical project opportunities of Wuxi Fisheries College (Industry-University-Research), and applied classroom theoretical knowledge and scientific research methods to the production practice of breeding base, and has achieved remarkable results. Under the guidance of the College supervisor, she and her team members have achieved large-scale breeding of pufferfish by artificial insemination. One fish can produce more than 30,000 fertilized eggs, and the survival rate is about 80%; in the breeding base, she used the technology of digital fishery she learned to actively carry out the intelligent construction of aquaculture. 90% of the fish farming of pufferfish, Tenualosa reevesii, Coilia ectenes have been automated, and equipped with unmanned aerial drones, unmanned boats and automatic feeding equipment, so that the feed utilization and breeding efficiency have been greatly improved. At present, more than 80% of the pufferfish cultivated in the breeding base returned to the Yangtze River, and some of them are on the dinner table of the citizens.
